You've invested in leather car seats for their luxurious look and feel. Preserving them means regular cleaning and periodic conditioning. Experts advise that dirt, sand and grime can scratch leather.  It can stain easily. Body oils, sweat, and sun can cause it to crack.  They can also cause the dreaded sticky seat.  How many times in the warm weather have you gotten a major ouch sitting on a hot car seat?
